The Schurter 0034.6609 is a subminiature time-lag (slow-blow) fuse designed for primary circuit protection on printed circuit boards. It is rated for 250 mA continuous current at 250 VAC or 63 VDC, with a breaking capacity of 35 A AC and 50 A DC. The fuse conforms to IEC 60127-3 and features a time-lag T characteristic, making it suitable for applications with transient inrush currents.
The fuse is housed in a compact 8.5 mm diameter radial can with a height of 8.5 mm, using a thermoplastic UL 94V-0 rated housing and tin-plated copper terminals. It is designed for through-hole mounting and is compatible with wave soldering profiles. The operating temperature range spans -55°C to 125°C, with storage conditions of 0°C to 40°C at up to 70% relative humidity.
Typical applications include primary protection in power supply adapters for laptops, SMPS for TVs and DVD players, and other general PCB protection where a time-delay characteristic is required. The part is directly solderable onto printed circuit boards.
