The Schurter OGN series 0031.8320 is an open design fuseholder pre-assembled for surface mount applications. It accepts standard 5x20mm fuse-links and is rated for 16A at 500VAC/VDC (UL/CSA) or 10/16A at 500VAC (VDE). The fuseholder supports a power acceptance of 4W at 16A (Ta 23°C) with appropriate derating when covers are used.

 

Designed for fully automated PCB assembly, the OGN fuseholder is reflow solder capable (lead-free profile 245°C / max 30 sec) and is available in blister tape packaging. The socket and cover are molded from thermoplastic UL 94V-0 rated material, with tin-plated copper alloy terminals ensuring reliable solder connections.

 

Electrical performance includes dielectric strength >3kV between live parts, contact resistance ≤10 mΩ, and insulation resistance ≥10 MΩ. The holder provides IP20 protection when a cover is installed. Operating temperature range is -40°C to 85°C, with storage conditions of 0°C to 60°C at max 70% relative humidity.

 

The OGN fuseholder meets glow wire requirements per IEC 60335-1 and is suitable for use in protection class I equipment per IEC 61140. It is approved under cURus and VDE standards.
