The Schurter 0031.8225 is a surface mount fuseholder block designed for 5x20mm cartridge fuses. It features J-Lead terminals for reliable SMD soldering and is rated for 500VAC (VDE) and 500VAC/VDC (UL/CSA) with current ratings of 10A (VDE) and 16A (UL/CSA).
The fuseholder accepts up to 4W power dissipation at 16A (Ta 23°C) and meets glow wire requirements per IEC 60335-1 for unattended appliances. It offers IP20 protection with cover and is suitable for protection class I equipment.
Constructed with thermoplastic UL 94V-0 socket and cover, and tin-plated copper alloy terminals, the unit has a contact resistance of ≤10 mΩ at 100 mA. Dielectric strength exceeds 3 kV between live parts, and impulse withstand voltage is >4 kV. Operating temperature range is -40°C to 85°C.
