The Schurter FAB series shock-safe fuseholder (part number 0031.3551) is designed for 5x20mm cartridge fuses. It features a horizontal orientation with through-hole PC pin termination for direct PCB mounting. The holder is rated for 250VAC operation with a dual current rating of 10A per VDE and 12A per UL standards.
Electrical characteristics include a rated power acceptance of 2.5W at 10A and 23°C ambient temperature, contact resistance ≤10mΩ at 100mA, dielectric strength >3kV between live parts, and impulse withstand voltage >4kV. The holder meets overvoltage category III and pollution degree 3 per IEC 60664-1.
The socket and cap are molded from thermoplastic rated UL 94V-0. Terminals are copper alloy with tin plating. The unit weight is 5.4g. It is suitable for wave soldering with a solderability rating of 245°C for 3 seconds and resistance to soldering heat of 260°C for 10 seconds.
