The Schurter 0031.2570 is a shock-safe fuseholder designed for high-performance circuit protection applications. It accepts both 5x20mm and 6.3x32mm (1/4" x 1-1/4") cartridge fuses, offering flexibility for various protection needs. The holder is rated for 600V 30A under UL/CSA standards and 250/500V 16A under VDE standards, with a rated power acceptance of 4W at 16A.
This fuseholder features a vertical orientation with through hole mounting and PC pin termination for reliable PCB integration. The housing is made of thermoplastic with UL 94V-0 flammability rating, and the terminals are tin-plated copper alloy. It provides IP40 degree of protection and is suitable for appliances with protection class I or II.
Key electrical characteristics include dielectric strength greater than 3 kV, impulse withstand voltage greater than 4 kV, and contact resistance less than or equal to 10 mΩ. The operating temperature range is -40°C to 85°C, making it suitable for demanding environments. The holder is designed for wave soldering with solderability at 245°C for 2 seconds and resistance to soldering heat at 260°C for 10 seconds.
