CUI Devices expands its thermal management portfolio with a family of AC axial fans with 120-mm and 172-mm frame sizes.

CUI Devices’ Thermal Management Group has added the CAF family of AC axial fans to its thermal management portfolio. The CAF family offers frame sizes of 120 mm and 172 mm with airflows from 44.69 to 164.5 CFM.

Available with ball bearing or sleeve bearing construction, these AC axial fans offer a range of options, depending on the model number. They feature operating voltages from 110 to 125 VAC or 220 to 240 VAC. Other performance specifications, measured at both 50 Hz and 60 Hz,  include rated speeds from 1300 up to 2900 RPM, noise levels from 27.7 up to 52.1 dBA, and rated power from 7.1 up to 32.1 W. The operating temperature range for all models is -10°C to 70°C.

The CAF family meets UL/cUL 507 and TUV safety approvals and complies with EN 55014 and EN/IEC 61000 standards. All models are RoHS compliant.

The CAF AC axial fans are available now with prices starting at $11.66 each at 100 pieces through distribution. Contact CUI Devices for OEM pricing. Lead time is from stock to 10 weeks. The company’s  Resource Library provides additional information and tools on thermal management.

Last year, the company expanded its DC fan and blower product lines with smaller frame sizes as small as 20 × 20 × 6 mm and expanded airflow from 0.33 to 382 CFM.

CUI Devices has added smaller frame sizes and expanded airflow ratings to its family of DC axial fans and centrifugal blowers.

CUI Devices’ Thermal Management Group has expanded its DC fan and blower product lines with smaller frame sizes and expanded airflow ratings. The DC axial fans now offer frame sizes as small as 20 × 20 × 6 mm, with expanded airflow ratings from 0.33 to 382 CFM. The centrifugal blowers offer smaller frame sizes as small as 35 × 35 × 7 mm with airflow ratings from 0.57 to 44.2 CFM.

These new cooling devices include a range of sleeve-bearing and ball-bearing options as well as the company’s omniCOOL bearing system, which offers enhanced longevity and performance compared to traditional fan designs, according to the company. Applications include IT and telecom, medical devices and industrial.

A standard feature for all models is auto restart protection, including additional options for tachometer signal, rotation detector and PWM control signal. The DC fans and blowers are available with rated voltages of 5, 12, 24 or 48 VDC and multiple speed ratings from 1,500 to 25,000 RPM and static pressure ratings from 0.02 to 3.82 inH2O.

The new DC fan and blower models are available now with prices starting at $4.04 each at 500 pieces through distribution. Lead time is from stock to 12 weeks. Custom solutions also are available for a variety of forced air-cooling applications.
